I've always thought about this when people talk about reducing weight in a vehicle. I'm not overweight but I weigh about 240 so I'm at a disadvantage from the start to a smaller guy. I'm not concerned about it since I don't race but your exact thought crosses my mind when I see these threads.

I lost control one time on a consecutive drift. first 1 ok second was perfect the third one i hit the gas to hard and his the guard rail and . kinda cracked my rear bumper.

mods:
stage 1 kelford cams
straight pipes going all the way through(no cats)
s&s headers(would long tubes be bad for gs400)
1 inch drop( my springs juss dropped randomly dont kno why but it works hehe)
i have more parts but uninstalled

out of car so far:
back seats
front seats-replaces with kragen leather seats
subs. amps etc.
carpeting and rear door panes.

if i mold my rear doors will i make my car lighter or is it just a waste of time

Hey bro i am the same age as you are. I know we think we can live forever, But stay safe man. Street racing is not something you really want to get into. Take it to the track and have all the fun you want!

Jeff, are you serious the spare tire weigh around 40 pound? I've add a lot of weight in my car and consider replacing the spare with a 17 pound wheel for 99 bux to counter it.
Yes the stock full sized spare weighs roughly 40lbs with the tire included.

so your cousin bothered to give a "drift car" enough power to "beat an srt8 something" rather it be challenger or charger or ram and even bored a 4.0L engine out to 4.5L but didnt get an lsd

gentlemen i would like to be the first to declare...

edit: well that failed miserably i didnt know the forum would censor url's but lets try again

No need for apologies. I feel for you man. I go to school full time and work full time, then work some extra hours at a Foot Locker on weekends.... I'm usually on here at school and work anyways though. I get to the gym during my lunch break at school. Haha.

Anyhow, what kind of bike you have?

and insomniac you say? I'm on the same boat as you.... I usually get no more than 5 hours of sleep a night.
