Default who run after martket tweeters?

did anyone run after market tweeters? and what size and did you guys run component speakers system or just the tweeter straight to the amp?

Can you guys also give me the specs of your speakers your running too, cuz i know the Gs can fit bigger then 4"

I have Mb Quart Reference Premium in 6.5", factory mounting location for mid and tweeter.

Front I am running Polk Db6501 6.5 Component set and rear I am running PowerBass 3XL 6.5 inch components, cut the tweeter into the rear door panels.

where did you cut your rear tweeter too? and was it a direct fit for 6.5 or did you have to use brackets?

I'm running 1" tweeters off of an amp. They're mounted on the A-pillar. I'm running 6.5" for midrange which is also getting its own amp.

close..but it's the part where your windshield and door glass meets. I located it up there for a higher soundstage.

Nothing. OEM tweeter is still there. No reason to touch it since it's not connected. There is a grill to cover the OEM speaker so nothing looks out of place.

any speaker you have to fabricate a adapter for, I used MDF and fabricated an adapter. The rear tweeter is cut into the upper part of the back door towards the front but angled back to the rear seats.

Why Alpine? What are you going to power the speakers with and what headunit will you be utilizing?

im gonna run oem navi with the jl clean sweep and JL amp, and im trying to keep my sound system within JL audio and Alpine only
