fender dimples

That's why there are a lot of threads recommending fender shaving instead of rolling. If someone is "really" good they can roll a fender without dimples, but I seriously doubt anyone will give you a 2 year guarantee or similar warrantee that the paint won't crack/chip over time.
Here's a vid of shaving I did on a members car like 5 years ago !

Yea, your kinda screwed man......I guess they forgot to remove the two clip in plastic things from the fender, they always cause dimples...happened to me when i rolled my fenders, I ended up replacing the fenders and just shaving the new ones before they went on....sorry man

OK Try it now.
The sheetmetal on the GS rear is double thickness. An improper rolling process will cause dimpling.
The front fender sheetmetal is single thickness so it can be rolled, but you will have dimpling at the tab locations without taking care.
If you want to run as flush as possible, then shaving the lip will give more clearance then rolling.
This is a 295-20 Tire on a 11" rim with OEM Spec Camber, no fender pulling and good flushness, with fender shaving as the ONLY mod, this tire does not rub no matter what.

after shaving the sheetmetal, will it create the sharp edge along the lip of the fender? that sharp edge may do some cutting damage if your tires do rub.. or even your fingers when you are trying to clean in the wheel well.
also, after you guys do fender mods in the front, im sure you all remove the plastic fender liner in the wheel well. Removing this would expose alot of the components that can be seen, such as the fluid canister on the driver side, etc.
what do you guys recommend using to block off the openings?
thanks !

As far as the guy who wants "real wheels" to fit. You answered your own question, if trimming isn't enough then would of course have to pull it. The point is when you pull the fenders there is a high probability that it's not going to come out smooth so the best option for those who don't want to risk damage is to trim them.
