Question CEL P0037 & P0980 --- Help??

So my check engine light came on, again... CEL P0037 & P0980 ---

Does anybody have any experience with these two codes or could shed any light on them? I had the descriptions from what exactly they were written down but I can no longer find the paper

Is this an expensive fix? I would imagine so with the P0980 being the shift solenoid C high.. any help would be appreciated pleeease CL

It's tough to get help on CEL diagnostics... try posting on the maintenance section also.

USE THE INFORMATION BELOW AT YOUR OWN RISK

P0980 means that the PCM detected a open in Solenoid Valve S3 four times when its operated.

The solenoids can be checked by powering each one from the trans harness or inside the pan, they will click. If they do not click you can check resistance at the harness of each one. They should be 11-15 Ohms.

If one is bad (no click and/or out of spec resistance) it may be possible to take it apart, clean it, and put back together. Or can be replaced.

If these all check out OK there may be a open or short between the PCM and the Trans harness.
