Default AYFKM??? 2001 GS430 retail value???

Found searching for coefficient of drag and up pops MotorTrends used car stats and lists the price for an 01 GS430 at $5,575... WTF???

Did an ebay search and there were NO 01s for sale. One 2002 at $17k. I would be surprised to find 01s in decent shape much below $10k... Am I missing something here?

I think a lot of it has to do with the economy this past year or two. In one year my 03 GS430 took about a $5K drop in price compared to the last time I check on kbb.com. It shows its only worth about $15K now. No matter, I'm keeping it for a while, but it really isn't the best time to be selling V8 luxury cars, and its a good time to be buying them.

If you look at the year and how the price increases about a grand or 2 then you hit the the 3rd gen and it bumps up 10k to 19K..... Something is not right in the math here. Sucks for us though, someone looks at that and thinks our cars are in the same category as a Malibu. Must be a typo of some sort.

It's bad data. They can print whatever the hell they want, but until you find that car at that price, they're just full of it.

According to the Motor Trend's website, it said "$7,245 - N/A" Retail Value.
