Sasha:

Hate to kill your fun, but I've seen this many months ago. Not the same car, but the same concept. A guy from Taiwan bought his GS300, and immediately after getting the car he ordered a Blitz Wing and a TRD strut bar.

The TRD strut bar he later found out doens't fit. So he talked to people from a shop and they put spacers on the car to make the bar fit. Let's not talk about the rigidity issues, but the bar DOES hit the hood after being spaced up. it DOES. That's what's been keeping me away from getting a TRD strut bar with spacers.

I use the TRD Strut bar with two spacer plates per side and it fits perfect for me with my engine cover on as well.

Now my car is the GS400 so I don't know what the GS300 differences are.....

the gs300's intake manifold runs over the block/head so the overall height is higher

Michael:

you're using spacers because you want to have the enigne covers on? the bar won't fit over the engine cover unless you use spacers? Or you just want to have alittle more clearance?

Will the spacers kill the structure rigidity that the bar was intended to do?

Fits fine on GS400 without spacers.

just from looking at the two airboxes, it looks like the GS3 box flows more air because the GS4 has a 180" turn! where does the filter fit?

I actually have a modified Carbon-fiber engine cover that sits higher then the stock OEM engine cover, hence the need for spacer plates.

The spacer plates have no effect on the structure rigidity that the STB provides.

Hope that helps....
