Per my signature, 245/40/18. Seems 245/45 would be better

this is one of the reasons that i have been holding off on getting any size wheel bigger than the 16" that came on my GS4... living in North NJ, the roads suck... and my occasional trips into the city don't help either... i have cracked a chrome 17" wheel and my oem 17" wheel on my TL from a pothole... those both had 50 profile tires on them!!!

those both happened at night when i wasn't paying attention so i have given up for now... ill just wait until i move somewhere warm where the snow and salt doesn't kill all the roads...

Ok, so I've bought some new 18s from Sewell that came balanced. Mounted the tires I had before, and now I feel the steering will pull suddenly to one direction or the other like the car was possessed. It is not a vibration or wheel balancing feel. I have to mention that I did get my lower ball joints replaced as well. I'm thinking one of the front tires is not mounted correctly, or that I need a wheel alignment now?

I'm running on OEM 17" Rims on Yokohama S Drive. The car is an 2003, got the tires less than a year. Inflated it to 40 PSI cold. No problems.
