sup fellas,
im new to the forum and here looking for some help..
i don't know what the problem is but this morning i tried starting up my car and all of a sudden the battery's just shut off... so i was charging it w/ a black n Decker battery charger for about 3 hours.. then i tried starting the car it kinda had problem and then the engine started and my mpg gauge didn't have any lights on.. then i turned it off and the car didnt want to start up again.. so took my battery charger again and it said something about alternator might be bad or something.... so if it is my alternator i was wondering if anyone know any place that has good deals on them.. gotta get the ride back on the road!
thanks!

The alternator depends on which GS you have as the 300 and 400/430 have a different alternator. If I were you I would take the battery out and go to autozone or something and have them check the battery. Its free and its an easy way to make sure that you aren't fixing what aint broke.

My battery went out after I had a wreck. I thought it was te alternator, but it turned out to be the battery. Turn the car on, and unplug the battery terminals, if the car stays on, then its not the alternator.

i had a black and decker battery charger and charged it for about 3 hours and then i ran a alternator check on it and it said that the alternator voltage was bad
