Silver GS430 with Black Pearl Emblems
Some of you have been asking me for pictures of my silver GS with black pearl emblems (also found on Platnium series). Well here it is.
Just had a welding shop install the L-Tuned tips on to the stock mufflers this morning.

Those tips were purchased from Steve Ganz at Carson Toyota. He had a special on it for $15 per tip. They should fit but required welding.

The only problem was he had limited stock and was offering at one time deal until supplies runs out. Currently he is all out.

I don't remember the exact price I paid last year but I know it was less than $200 (I think it was about $180 including shipping from Steve Ganz). I have the invoice at my office and will get back to you tomorrow.
In my opinion you can easily remove the chromed emblems and have it painted or paint it yourself for under $15 and get some automotive double sided tape for another $5-10. A couple of weeks ago I found at the hardware store some metallic and pearl paints that looks very close to my black pearl emblems. My black pearl emblems are flat matte finish and wished they were glossy black chrome. Maybe in the future I will repaint it.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I preferred a clean subtle look rather than drastic ricey look.
I really think the black pearl emblems on a silver GS is the way to go. The stock chrome emblems is very hard to see especially in bright tropical sunlight. On Guam there are very few GS430. Even fewer for a fully loaded GS like my with ML audio system and wood steering. Mostly GS300s and some GS400s. The dealer here ordered almost all GS with rear spoilers therefore it is very hard to tell the difference unless you look at the 16" rims on the GS300 (only a GS owner knows the difference).
Probably my next mod with be a TTE lip spoiler to make my front end different. And clear front bumper lights.

To better describe the chrome on silver problem I have enclosed a picture of DAMNBOY's GS (hope you don't mind DAMNBOY that I used your pic from another post without your permission).
You can see from the picture that it is very difficult to see the emblems.

Hi a1exus:
The cheapest method is to paint it yourself. I stated earlier in the post that you can probably purchase the black pearl spray paint from a hardware store. You of course need to get clear coat spray paint and automotive double sided tape.
I got my emblems from Steve Ganz.
