Default Condensation Problem in my LH Headlamps...

Ok I've noticed that whenever i was my car or when it rains water droplets or (condensation) appears in the LH headlight. The right one is completely fine. I am going to be replacing the headlight in the near future but for now i really want to find out where this is coming from. I called the dealership and he told me to look for any cracks in the headlights. Of course there were none. My headlights are kinda scratched up but the are in a fair condition. I also had another haunch that it could've been my sealant that surrounds the headlights, but I checked that and that looks ok. The codensastion happen in both the larger LH headlamp and the small LH headlamp. If you guys know anything that can solve the issue please post?!? Thanks much...

Give this a shot, see if you can silicon the edges of the plastic window where the leveling bubble is. It would be ideal to take the light off the car to inspect and then you can remove this piece and seal it with the silicon or equivalant; but if you don't want to go to that much trouble see if you can get a bead around the joint between the light and that window.

The seal on that piece tends to go bad over time. Search the lighting forum for a thread by JNC on this with pictures.

That is funny because it is my left side that also has the moisture in the smaller and larger headlights where the right side is generally fine with no moisture unless we have a downpoor then it will get a little bit of moisture. I wetsanded my headlights, compounded, and then polished them a few days ago because they were getting pretty yellow/brown and cruddy and somehow got some white paint on them. The difference was night and day and they look great but unfortunately clean headlights really highlight the moisture. I wonder if putting or taping a small bag of silica salt inside the headlight would help get rid of or lessen the moisture. Maybe someone has tried putting a silica bag in there through the bulb hole and it worked out for them, I might have to try this as I don't see anywhere where the moisture is getting in.

same problem here, i just noticed it yesterday after the heavy rain these few days... imma wait till the moisture goes away then silicone around the headlights the rubber gets soft and contaminated with roadsalts and god knows over time, im pretty sure my problem lies around that area.

take out the high beam bulb and use a blow dryer to heat up the housing of the light. heat all areas where there is condensation until the condensation evaporates and escapes through the high beam hole. silicone the edges and replace the high beam bulb. that should take care of it.

there should be a vent hose on the headlight. take it out and clear out any blockages. i it looks like a black rubber U shape.
i did this on mine and has stopped condensing ever since

Excellent advice and also checking for vent blockage like Stealth mentioned. Actually, I would try and check for vent blockage first and if the problem persists, move onto the hairdryer step. That should be a good in-the-meantime fix before you purchase a new headlight. Heck, if this turns out to be a long term solution for you, there shouldn't be a need for headlight replacement-- unless it's for other reasons.

I still can't find this vent hose. Could someone describe it a little more or post a pic of what exactly it is and where it is at.
