When you go to the dealership see if you can find the same guy and ask him to put it in writting that your car was ok even after you told them if wasnt. That note will work wonders!

Flat out, I think u should sue the **** out of them, if somthing would have happened to u, do u think that they would have been sorry about it? no they would be just trying to watch there own ***, that's no game to tell someone ur cars fine and what not just so they can save a few dollars, get them for Punitive damages and risking ur life.... all im sayin is dont let somthing like this pass, One of my friends was opening up a coke can, and the top of it ripped open and slit his wrist, but they never ended up sueing, I know i know, but they didn't think they would have gotten anything or who knows, just the point is, SUE THEM

CanRen, punitive damages are sort of like legal punishment (at least that's what the lawyers will call it) for not doing their (the body shop) job properly. Since you are essentially dealing with a corporation (the dealership), the only real "punishment" that can be handed out to them is to make them pay money above and beyond what it costs to fix everything. This is to remind them, from a business standpoint, that saving a few dollars be not properly repairing your car and then blowing off your complaint that something was wrong with the steering will cost them a lot more than doing things right the first time.

Your lawyer can explain it all.

Hmmm...

Glad you are OK. I seem to recall someone saying that your bodyshop might not be the greatest when it came to painting bodykits.

BUT I never knew they were THIS bad. My suggestion is to let them explain the issue first before you do anything. I don't know if you want to go through all the law stuff and all the headaches associated with it. We can all tell you to sue the bodyshop BUT it's not that easy and it takes a lot of your time, money, and effort. I would say you make them fix it, including any damage to the bodykit and then take it to a a nearby suspension specialist to inspect thoroughly. If the the suspension specialist STILL finds problems then take it back to the bodyshop to make them do it right. Once they get it right, NEVER go back to them again...Lesson learned.

This kinda happened to me so I have taken my car to a specialist that I trust and they are doing the work for me. It's very hard to find a body shop that is really good at everything-especially when it comes to suspension work. Just my advice to you...

yes,

first talk to them (bodyshop)
explain that dangerous situation you were in.

let them know that there was neglect in the repair they did, invoice as a prove!

an all new component free repair, plus eventual other damage due to the faulty repair.

inspect repair through third parties.
written report.

make a financial deal . (some $$)
tell them if not you will see your lawyer.

see what happens
if not
act!!!!!!

Good job CamRen!

Still you should tell them that you would like to get it inspected at a 3rd party suspension expert and then have Parkplace pay the bill for the inspection. They have to earn your trust back especially with what has happened.

Well they're doing the right thing but only because they know you are in the perfect position to sue them. But I agree on not suing if they apologized and appear to be working hard to do the right thing. After all, businesses can make mistakes. The question is how they react after consumers point out their mistakes.
