about 5 months after i bought these rims, my fenders pop out by the edge on both sides. My car is on 20 inch rims and dropped 1.5 inches, with h&r springs.
How wide is the wheel? Go a size or two down. Have the fenders rolled or cut so they don't get caught on the tires. And be careful going up driveways or making U-turns. This happens when you go up something and the suspension compresses, making the tire eat your fender.
i did the EXACT same thing the first night i got my rims, and im lowered on coilovers.
while with the wheel cranked to one side, trying to enter a parking lot slowly, the tire caught onto the fender lip plastic edge and pulled it out like that. wasnt as severe but still painful enough that i had to do a quick fix in the parking lot with the steering wheel "club" wedged between tire and fender pushing it back in.
next day, removed it, and rolled the front fenders.
yeah im on 19s not 20s but dont have loads of stretch, just 235/35 on 9". got my fenders rolled but going up & down driveways on lock the front tyres rub both sides but since they are rolled its just rubbing the paint off underneath and doesnt catch.
Yep, tires but not only that, when you go up or down a driveway, go slow and don't turn all the way...get your angle right. That's what really causes it to bend out that way.
edit: just saw its not even rolled....roll them bad boys
been there done that as well, take everyone elses advice and roll fenders , cost less than buying a new of tires,.. and but make sure you do get the 35 series whne these go out! and they will soon,
