Default Headlights...

Ok so my car is nearing completion and I need to get a set of headlights...

Either OEM or those ebay ones... I have no plans to do a retro anytime soon and I just need a set of clean headlights.

Do you guys think i should look around for some clean OEM lights or get the ebay stuff? My plan if i got the ebay ones was to just NOT use the halos and leave them unplugged...

What do you guys think? Really once its clean I don't mind. I feel like the ebay lights would kill the clean classy look of the car... i dunno...

oem 2001+ green backing or the smoked ones factory hids matter little as you can get a new aftermarket HID kit for a quarted of the price you will save by buying NON HID OEM'S

This is probably the route im going since I already have a couple sets of 6000k hids already. I'm going to pick up some green tint lights later tonight.

Won't that cause glare? Using an hid bulb in a non hid bowl...

It causes a little glare. But I haven't had any complaints from my friends that drove in front of me. Once they're aimed right its all good. I will do an LS retro a little later when I finish up the other projects I have going on.

2 Reasons for OE HID

1. You will have glare with a PNP, and an abundant amount of unusable light above a non existent cutoff.
See the proof in this thread. This is glare, even with projectors!

2. Go with OE HID, that way you have auto leveling.

Later when you retro LS430's, you will still retain the auto leveling!
