Hey guys....I own both the GS AND a "bang for the buck" Maxima...and I can tell you from experience that the GS is worth EVERY penny that I paid over the cost of an Altima/Maxima/TL/CL....those guys are NUTS!

someone who went to buy a brand new lexus would *NEVER* switch to some filty altima, that's a fact!

 

How much horsepower do those Altimas have? There's this one guy claiming he can hit 14.3 1/4 mile times stock.

Well enough talk about Altima's. I drove a loaded V6 5-speed when I put down my deposit for my 350Z! It's a "nice" car, but a LEXUS GS it ain't!!!

It would be stupid for any altima owner to say, NO, I REALLY REALLY wouldn't want to own a gs4.

It wouldn't be stupid to say, my car is close to 20k less and I'll hold my own.

Also, I've always drooled over those Lex cars, but I bet that if you fully debadge the new Altima, half of the idiots on the street wont know the difference for this year. Many 02 owners get the 'is that a lexus' comment frequently.

All those girls over at the Altima board crack me up, "I saved $20k". Really ? How do you save money that you never had ? Do you mean you had $50k to buy a car, looked at a GS, said "what a waste", THEN went over to a Nissan dealership, purchased an Altima and bathed yourself in plastic and pleather ??!! This is the worst trend to happen to the automotive industry, cramming high performance engines in faux luxury/sport *****boxes, because now everyone that owns one feels justified to trash better made vehicles because their 0-60/hp numbers are in line.

Well after 3 days of reading seems faster is once again not better. Those guys have as much build quality complaints as those TL guys (DUH).

This is my problem. Instead of concentrating on WHAT'S IMPORTANT, they are making family cars rockets attracting new customers.

I'd just get a Camry, thank you.
