Hi there fellow memebers i sorta have a delima my friend has a celica GTS 6sp. and he claims that he beat a M3 on the freeway but my friends and I don't belive him bcuz theres no way he beat an M3 specially on the freeway but besides that fact he says that he can pull on my GS300 on the freeway he sounds very confident but i'm sure he couldn't pull me on the freeway bcuz i raced one b4 i don't know if i twas 6sp or not but yea so what do u guys think? i mean i'm sure i can beat him but thats just my ego talking reality speaking can i pull it off? Planing on racing hiim when he gets his license back just to shut him up!!

just raced a new GTS celica on friday when i had my car...

wooped his a$$ on the freeway.. he was all trying to be cool by reving.. then we took off and he was there ... until like 75.. 80 then he just got left behind...

all i had was a intake coldairbox and quad xhaust... but even w/out that... you can take him.... tell us what happens...

ive driven my Gs all the way to 140.... its a smoothhhhh ryde

too bad my car is in the shop... they are repairing my control arm, bodykit, fender and wheels...

 

If he can drive, helil probably get you. I know he doesnt have many mods either, on the freeway i dunno they top out at close to 140mph.

 

If you race him on the freeway, MAYBE he can keep up with you if he can drive a stick..... but that's ONLY up to like 80~90mph. After 100mph, there is NO WAY he can keep up with you. I've had too much experiences with civics integras preludes and celicas. Everyone of them will just COMPLETELY SLOW DOWN once you get to lik 90~100mph. I raced a heavily modded Integ GS-R before, and gotta admit that car is pretty fast, gained like 2ft. on me from 60~90mph. But after that I thought he stopped, but found out that the puny torque doens't help him anymore.

So just make sure you get to higher speed. If he says he can pull on you on the freeway, just show him that pull means FORWARD not BACKWARD. remember, pedal to the metal before 120mph.

 

Last September I raced a Celica GT-S 6spd with my '99 GS 400

He had some bull**** ractive intake....but it was no problem at all

 

u will beat him. i know i have beat a GTS.
