12" JL IB4 Sub and Amp....Hits very low surprisingly. I thought it would not hit hard, but I find myself turning the bass down now.

 

I'm gona wash and wax it soon. Inside tire wear is signifact, but I'll post it on the sticky thread.

 

looks good - i was looking at doing the same thing to my car using a jl ib4 sub and was wondering how many watts you are running to the speaker and if you think it is worth my time and money to do so? thanks

 

The thing I couldn't stand was the mids and highs....terrible.....simply terrible.......

If your going to spend the money guys, I would buy a bigger sub, or higher quailty one in a box....much more accurate......you already got to buy the amp/wiring/kit/install....

 

I would say it was worth it. I spent $60 on the speaker and $250 on the Amp. $150 for labor. The main thing I wanted was to keep it light. Unlike Camrens slow a$$ heavy weighted car, my 400 will still be just as fast in the 0-60, but hit those low notes my old 10" just could not hit.

I have already gone thru the whole "shake the neibhoorhood" bass, and all it gets you are "loud system tickets", people stealing your system you, fat chicks that looove bass and finally a slow, slow, slow, (did I say slow?) car that handles very poorly in the corners and speed bumps.

all i have is light bodykit (25ibs) which is lighter then stock!...


i know my wheels R heavy... but there not like 100pounds .. only 35ibs each.. and how is my car slow.. compared to other v6's ....

and you have a pretty good amp but not a very good sub at all....

 

Been there done that.....Nice system though. Too heavy.... might as well have 3 fat chicks sitting in your back seat at all times.
