It's also fun to slow down enough until they get pissed off enough to pass you in a non passing zone and as soon as they get on your side, rip the gas and leave them on the side of the road...

Lexucan and kphu thanks.. some of those comments are too funny. As a matter of fact reading all those replies made what was a ho-hum day that much better from the sheer notion of laughing while going tru each one of them. I'm always granpa-ing the slow lane since I like to cruise my Lexus, but just once in a while well..

I don't normally do it yet had to drop down in 3rd one encounter, left the guy so far back, I turned left at first light, he passed me up flipped me the bird out the window. I live out in the sticks if you will, so I got two connecting hwys that I merge off of a two lane bypass. Funny thing is the on ramp is 20mph while there is another on ramp I have to merge on with cars coming down a hill at 60+ mph. So, traffic is sometimes is jacked from the sole reason of people trying to merge from a dead stop sometimes. I get this girl in the mom's ES300 riding my bumper, tap my brakes, still there, motion with my arm to back off, still there, merged, leaned over opened my glove box, pressed buttom on EDFC unit (imagine what that looks like from behind reaching in glove box LOL) dumped gear floored it, moved in the other lane then resumed speed limit. This gal would not come anywhere near me after that till I merged on main hwy even then she moved far away from me.

Talking

If this is happening on a regular basis, I would simply call the popo. Let them know that this person is behaving erratically, and that you're concerned they might be on something or drunk. This makes it an elevated level call for most PD's, and they respond faster. Give them a full description of the car, driver, and license plate. I would have especially done that with the Benz driver. If he is a cop, he'll have to answer for it. Yes, I did do this, and yes, the cop was none too happy with his situation once he found out I knew a few more people than he did. He definitely didn't like it when three marked cars pulled up and put him to the ground with guns drawn. Amazing what telling them that you have a gun and are concerned for your safety will do.

It's either that or let them go buy and just start shooting at them. They'll figure out how to get the hell away from you at that point, I assure you. (I kid...or do I??)

i get it all the time, since i have fairly big trust mufflers and my car is very rare here in Perth, people all seem to think that its an import and that its 2JZ-GTE twin turbo. but as i keep telling everyone, even if it was turbo it still doesnt make the roads smooth enough for me to give it stick! i literally slow down and change lanes etc to avoid bumps and holes, ive given up caring about people tailgating me!

on my way home every night i cross train tracks and i always slow to a max of about 25-30, usually less, and i always get people closing right up and damn near hitting me when i slow down, but with stretch etc on my tyres im not going to cane over the tracks!

i love how the GS has auto dimming mirrors at night too cause you get lots of 4x4s coming up behind me real close trying to blind me in my mirrors but it just dims it down hahah

I remember my nephew's had an encounter with one of those people tailgating them and swerving back and forth and so when the car finally switched lanes over next to them, my nephew sitting in the passenger side took out there bb gun with laser beam and pointed at them, damn! should of seen the guy who was driving and the two gurls ducked down fast as hell and dude just smashed on the gas and never looked back...

I don't waste gas or test my brakes. All I do is let the gas pedal off and that's it.

I also hate it when people tell you to slow down when your driving fast. Who the f*$(* are you to tell me my business. I could have some emergency, or I'm racing home to get laid.
Thats very true and funny

Brilliant...until the jackass tailgater pulls out his Glock.

Had a friend try a stunt like that on way back from Vegas a few years back - the tailgater dude had swerved to his left after he got brake check - pulled a gun and pointed it out his passenger window, friend jammed on the brakes as the guy unloaded - killed a lady minding her own damn business in her car in the right hand lane.

Just some food for thought - you never know when RaiderFan/gangbanger/redneck idiot is in that car that's tailgaiting you.

MY 2 BABIES ON THE PASSENGER SEAT

if you got a moron behind you just let them pass and go on their way...its not worth having to shoot someone or getting shot over

badge doesnt mean anything if hes off duty. He flahes the badge you flash the finger. Isnt it illegal to use your high beams in situations like that? according to DMV?

Some of the on-ramps off-ramps where I live weren't well thought out when initially built. But then again back then I'm pretty sure there wasn't that much traffic as there is normally now with more people living on the outskirts of cities commuting back and forth. Whenever I drive my non-modded LS series I don't get the normal tailgating that I do when I roll around on my modded GS, guess the look of the car attracts some pretty... Had a kid with a modded Civic at a light pull up next to me, started revving up engine and peeling out LOL shrugged motioned to 'em that he was on his own there (not having any part of that.)
