That chrome trim piece (Trunk bar) has been out since the dawn of time, nothing new.

it might be a 3m type. its not a direct replacement its just a cover over the OEM one. i wouldnt get it. looks cheesey IMO if it is the 3M cover up.

Stance is right, it looks like a stick-on to me, you can tell it doesn't sit flat like it should.

These have been around forever and look great if it flows with the rest of the mods done on the car. If you want that look, there is a OEM Japanese part that is a full chrome replacement for that piece and looks much better, fit is perfect and it's not just stuck on top sticking out like the ebay pieces. They run about $120 new and you can get them from Carson, www.l-tunedparts.com is the address I believe (could be a little off on that.) That's the only way I'd go, if you're spending $60 already, might as well spend $120 to do it right and be happy with the results.

StanCe and Kyle Harty both have very good points! I plan on doin' the same mod, But I had no idea they actually had the full replacement! I was thinking this was a bargain lol. It goes back to the old saying of "You get what you pay for". And $120 for the real deal is a very good price!!

Have it. Love it. Makes the car faster.

Yikes this pic is over three years old.
I wasn't even engaged yet.
Now there's a kid on the way.

They make them in black chrome as well if you want something slightly more subtle.

Hey jonathan, that cinnabar looks clean! Never knew the 430 came in cinnabar, or else I would have hunted for one Back on topic, get the real deal, not some cheap stick ons.

Umm yeah!

Jonathan, I remember seeing your pic a while back. Looks great! I'm still on the fence whether I'm gonna do the exact same thing with my backend (chrome bar, partial debadge with exhaust and 01 tails) except on black. I think the debadge looks a little plain without the chrome trunk bar. I told myself I was done spending money on the car this year though!

Debadge regardless.

Cars look so silly telling you what the are and what they do. GMs tell you what fuel they take, and Fords tell you they have V8s. Who the hell cares?
