Exclamation Baking soda !?!

i heard from a mechanic at a body shop that a little secret to cleaning your headlights from oxidation is to mix a little baking soda with some water and scrub your headlights than buffer em with wax. can anyone confirm that?

i think that's just to sand off the top layer. that might work.

iv heard about using that mix to clean your battery terminals but never for headlights. it kinda makes sense tho since it seems to be abrasive. i would buy dedicated cleaners to do the job. just my .02

I can't comment but if you put flour (regular white baking flour) on your wheels when you polish them it is a pretty aggressive cleaner. Seriously, as weird as it sounds I'm not just saying that to be funny, lol.

Toothpaste works to clean your headlights too. The abrasive yet mild cleansers in the toothpaste help to clean up the lens pretty well.

If your gonna spend the time to scrub and wax your headlight. Just do it right by wet sanding them.
