Default Question for everyone with RCA's on their ride

I just installed these last weekend and noticed that should I ever have a flat tire and be forced to put my spare on, that I wouldn't be able to due to tie rod end being so much lower now. Any of you concerned with that at all? I'm thinking about trying to find one of those skinny spares just in case I ever have a flat. A friend suggested grinding a groove into the factore spare, but I don't see that as being too safe.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Slo

Are you saying the full sized stock 17" spare diameter isn't enough large enough for clearance?

I am curious as well. The Infiniti 19 inch wheel should fit in the spare tire groove in the trunk of the GS. Does this mean I have to spend more $$$ on this car to make sure the drive is on point? Heck, I had to order aftermarket adjustable toe arms in order to get the toe in/out within factory alignment specs.

OMG Now I don't know what to do...I use my oem 16" wheels (still on right now) during the winter time. I just threw a deposit down for a nice set of front RCA's; I will be S.O.O.L if I don't get this squared away and I am NOT springing for a whole new set of winter (beater wheels). Damn!

crap, you are talking about the front RCA's arent you.

i use my stock 16s as winters as well... but i planned on doing the turbo supra caliper swap, so was gonna look at getting new 17s and new winter tires for them... now everything is rushed...

Yes! This was a concern of mine when I found out that my 16 inch spare won't work with the front rca.

I was planning on purchasing a 17 OEM Lexus spare, however I would also have to find and purchase 5 oem lugs.

Instead of going that route, I went on craigslist and found a set of crappy 17 rims.
