Does anyone know how I can touch up paint chips to the factory 17'' rims? Is there a special paint code for these rims or should I just buy the touch paint that the Lexus dealer's sell for a "Millennium Silver Metallic" GS?

Hey Drew,

Sorry for the "alarmist" post, but I have yet to find a good touch up for GS rims...

I understand "Millennium Silver Metallic" is the silver paint color for the body of your GS; this color is still used today. "Alpine Silver", was the silver GS color of '98 and '99, (including my GS...).

Unfortunately, GS rims are notorious for easy damage, and sadly, I'm not aware of a specific paint color for alloy rims.

However, if you're considering a full replacement without the dealer cost, these guys might be of help:

They will ship, (free UPS Ground), OEM quality replacement rims. I'm thinking of going w/ them when I order a set of Yokahama AVS dB's through Tire Rack, (unless Pacific Rims can match the deal). These rims are powder clear coated.

Not sure of your exact location, but it appears they have a shop in Farmingdale, NY.

I'll keep an eye on you post, as I'm always looking for remedies to the perrenial GS rim problem -- BTW, if you drive your Lexus like you love it, you're gonna catch a ding or two. It's watcha' do AFERWARDS that defines how you REALLY feel about your Lexus.
