Default Removing decals from painted calipers

Anyone in here remove their decals from a painted calipers? I had mine done the other day and I think i screw it up because I put them on before the paint dry and before paint dry I even putting clear coating on top. In the process it's kinda melted my decal and the paint was kinda melted also

My question is. Can you remove the decal and put a new one in and then maybe apply clear coating? I was really mad. I was multi-tasking and wanted to get things done early so I was kinda rush through the process.

From the sounds of it your best off stripping it completely and starting over from scratch.

I think the paint came out ok, but just the decal are not sticking to the paint too well. Starting from scratch is harder than putting them in from the first place. I prolly scrap the decals off and stick the new one on and than clear coating it. Only the front ones are having problem.

Ok I thought the paint was messed up too. If the paint is alright and you can remove the decal cleanly then go from there.

How long did you wait for the paint to dry? i wanna do this but I dont want to wait 24 hours like the bbox says. It's my only car and I got school, max time would be like 15 hours. (Kragen Dupicolor)

If I were you I do it on Saturday and not driving the car on Sunday. I painted mine on Sunday and completed around 4PM and went to work at 6:30AM and the paint is already dry. The mistake that I did was not waiting long enough from one layer to another. I was doing too many thing at once so I was rushing to get it done.

Follow the instructions. They put them there because they've done the testing. We're 2 weeks out from Memorial day. I doubt you'll have to go to school that day, so knock it out on Sunday, then you'll have 24 hours to let it dry.
