Put on 18" rims with Dunlop Sport tires that had 30% tread left. Drove like a dream. Got a flat in one of the tires and tire shop told me to change all 4 as they were pretty worn. Got new tires (Federal SS595) 245 40 18. Shaking like a sonova***** at 65mph. Road forced on a 9700 3 times, hub centric rings (two diff sets), tire rotation, wheel laser analysis (not bent at all). Same problem. Tire shop says "well Federal tires are crap cause they are the cheapest you can buy" SO I sell them off and buy Kumho Ecsta lx27 which are specially made for MB, BMW, Lexus and so on. Ride great for a week. Same problem starts. Get a wheel alignment and another road force. New brake pads, rotors, ball joints. New lug nuts. Still have the same problem. This car drives worse than my 2001 Ford Explorer with 200k miles on it thats been in two accidents...

This is what's being fixed mainly:

So don't just tighten the rack guide and harm the rack itself.
Stop chasing ghosts and fix your rack. While you are at it, have it rebuilt with new seals and Teflon spacers. Of course use ALL OEM parts. Enjoy driving 65mph, feeling like it's 15.
