My ball joints failed at 121k, so change them if they are original.

I'm on it...I have a few ideas from all of the info on the boards that will lighten my pockets a little, but it would be well worth it.....i have an invoice from the previous owner...ball joints were replace in jul 05 with 80k on the clock. Think I will be ok?

I think there are problems with 01+ too, but not so common...

Your car is not lowered, so I guess you are good. Also, it's very likely the newer ball joints with better design (+/- tolerance for defective products). The recommended LBJ replacement is around 75k, so you got some time since the replacement.

If you decide to lower your car, by then, you are probably scheduled for LBJ replacement.. is to consider RCA blocks to relieve the stress from lowering your car. That means, if you for springs and not coilovers, you would consider the block as additional drops. ..i.e. if you want 2 inch drop, you'd look for a spring that'll drop you 1 inch.. the 1 inch RCA will give you that additional drop to make it effectively 2 inches (with provided benefits).
