Cheapest way to lower would be just a set of springs, but that may wear out the stock shocks quicker. The right way would be coilovers.

He's talking about the RCA block... is that what you are looking for? The block will give you 1" drop.

You guys are right about that coilovers are the way to go, as long as you have the money. Though I have to say there is absolutely nothing wrong with cutting springs. I have on my gs, and it rides like a stock car and it sits exactly where i wanted it to. Though I do a lot of automotive work I wasn't worried about miss cutting the springs. Also my alignment turned out fine everything was in spec so no problem there. All I'm saying is if your on a budget there is nothing worng with cutting springs as long as you know what your doing. Though if you can afford them coilovers are the way to go.

I guess the OEM springs are not progressively wounded.. You can cut it, but you will need aftermarket shocks... only cost bit more than oem. The ride will be soft though.

No matter how tempted i was on cutting my springs so my car looks nicer, i abstained form doing it. Finally saved up enough money to get UAS airrbags. now for saving up for coilovers to go with it... =(. I dont think tis a good idea to waste your money getting soemthign your gonna upgrade in the future

about 2 grand for brand new Tein CS V.2 and used EDFC installed. so i can adjust my ride height with the clamps and adjust my shocks with the touch of a button. so basically i see this as a partial maintenance/partial mod because i really don't have to worry about my suspension for a long, long time.
