Default Torque Specs for oil drain plug?

Title says it all, I just feel better knowing it. And also does anyone know how much a filter is at the dealership (Lexus or toyota)? Thanks.

DOn't know the torque spec. I just tighten with a spanner wrench and call it a day. Doesn't have to be that tight but obviously can't be loose enough that you can remove the bolt by hand.

I got an STP filter at Autozone for $6 (I think). It's pretty inexpensive.

I kind of want the dealer filter this time. I know not having the torque spec is critical but I always do it on my BMW.

The oil drain plug, do a quarter of a turn and that's it. The oil filter, do it by hand, turn it until you can't turn it anymore. (Use nylon gloves for good grip)

^ LOL... just make it snug... a quarter turn, as mentioned, is enough. When you remove the bolt, you'll have an idea of how much to tighten.
