other OEM wheels for 2gs( FX, IS,3GS, G35, etc..)
So I bought this silver on black 1998 gs400 for my live-in "female friend" (dont ask lol) and Im shopping for wheels. But Im startin to think that for her and her drivin habits that a nice aftermarket wheel is not a good idea. So Im lookin at OEM wheels from lexus and infiniti. What do you guys suggest for a wheel/tire setup thats gonna get rid of some of the gap in the wheelwell and still look classy . I dont think Im gonna lower the car at all and if I do then only an inch. Does anyone have pics of what infiniti FX factory 20's look like on a 2gs and how do they fit ? What about IS350 wheels or 3gs wheels ? I need some advice before I end up makin a risky purchase. Please posts pics and experiences here , thanks in advance guys.

You HAVE to lower the GS to "close the gap." No way around it.
Just putting 20s on it without lowering looks silly.
20" OE FX wheels are narrow and the offset sucks. And you still have to
buy 20" tires because the OE FX tires are too tall.
Your best bet would be OE take-off 18" GS wheels or maybe 18" IS wheels.
Anything else will need hubcentric rings and appropriate lug nuts.

Im thinkin 3gs wheels top my list right now. But what are F-sport wheels ? I see g35 wheels for next to nothing on craigslist on almost a weekly basis. Still debating whether I like them or not. Oh and what are good springs for just a one inch drop ? Will I have to worry bout tie rods goin out once I lower a 100k+ mile car ?
Gonna check out your car now sleeper408. And as for my female friend, shes been my roomie for the last 3 years on and off but usually makes her way down the hall to my room and in my bed lol. It's much more fun when she brings her girlfriends over tho

Ok I'll post pics of the car once the rain stops round here, the eff buddy doesnt want her pics on the interweb machine tho, sorry. I actually scored a rare deal on this gs400 tho. It looks like a 40k mile car inside and out, not a single door ding or scratch except for what looks like license plate screw marks on the rear bumper, kinda like someone bumped against the car parking and only their license plate mounting screws made contact. Transmission shifts better then any other auto I have ever driven, and the interior is absolutely immaculate, much better shape then the platinum series gs300 I had last year and that car was cherry. I'm lookin for now for a black on black ultra luxury package ls430 as we speak , for myself. Went to go see one today and it was jacked up lookin so I had to walk away. Seems like black on black 2gs and 2Ls are gettin harder to find in mint condition with low miles. If I find a ultra clean black on black 2gs with navi and under 65k miles then Im gonna scoop it up. On with the thread tho , lets see some pics plz.
