hi everyone i need your input on this to see if this is really the reason why my car starts and dies right away.i've checked everthing on top all wiring harness are plugged in and it is getting sparks and fuel.i got really frustrated so i took off the timing cover and found that one tooth on the crank sprocket behind the crank pulley is missing(i believe this tooth broke because i forgot to remove the little gold bracket underneath the sprocket while pulling the sprocket off). well i just want to be 100% sure that this is why my car starts then die right away.any smart input would be appreciated.

Yes, you already answered your own question. Why would you reassemble it with a broken tooth? The reason the teeth are on there is to trigger the crank sensor, missing tooth means no trigger which will cause all sorts of issues. I'm sure you know this already but you have to take it all back apart now to replace the pulley, it's about $70 from the dealer.
