Default 2003 GS300 AC Compressor part # verification

Sorry,

I am not a GS guy but am trying to help a friend. I have searched since I am quite familiar with this forum.

Can someone please confirm or nix that the 2003 uses a Nippondenso 7SBU16H compressor?

I get 7SB16C.

Is your compressor leaking?

FrankT,

This is a buddy immediately to the South of you but a longtime friend from Dallas prior to the move. I want him to purchase the part & let Bearden Automotive to the installation.

The other Nippondenso # I was given was 7 SE16C

---------------------------------

I have a new (not reman) 7 SB16C sitting in my garage.

Not sure of his symptoms.
Looks like 2002-2005 GS300's use the same Nippondenso unit.

98-05 uses the same unit. If he's in Dallas I have an extra compressor laying around and I can install it/charge the system for him as well.

I have heard nothing but good things said about Bearden Automotive...

I wonder what the differences are in the compressors?

JeffTsai,

I have no idea why everyone seems to be giving conflicting info on this.
Is your statement true of GS400 & 300 models??

Thanks for the install offer but this person is in Austin.

Where can I research this information? I have a 1999 GS3 and may need a new compressor.

JeffTsai, willing to sell/ship?

Sydwayz,

If for some reason we are able to confirm that the new (never installed)
7 SB16C does not fit the 2003 , GS300 in question, that compressor will be for sale. It was purchased for a 99 GS400 that was totaled prior to install.

Ok, let me clarify. The 98-05 GS 300 compressors are interchangeable. The GS400/430 do not interchange with the GS300. Hope that helps.
