Have you had her dyno'd to see how much she has lost? probably not as much as you think...

Only 278,000 with no noticeable mechanical problems. As a bonus, I even pulled the original timing belt off a couple weeks ago when I replaced it.

You're very lucky it didn't snap on you going 3Xs the recommended replacement schedule..

Yeah, I was impressed, but cautious. I basically drove it home from the dealer and went right back out in my other car to buy a timing kit.

I just bought a 2002 GS300 with only 84,000 miles.

Question for those with 150k and higher miles....did you do anything special to keep your cars going this long? Or was it just basic maintenance? I'm a Lexus guy (previously had a 99 ES300 that had 170k) but I'm new to the GS so I want to make sure I can keep her running for a long time :-)

Mine has 195k, 98GS4, I run only synthetic, I was told previous owner did too. I run Amsoil 0W20 now, have for a while. Helps cold start mpg for sure, no issues with hot.

I use std NGK V-Groove plugs, change them every 25k or so, usual suspension issues like ball joints and control arm #2 bushings. And my exhaust is leaking just in front of the first muffler (at the Y). I have all synthetic everything in it now except brake fluid. If they make true synthetic brake fluid..... I would love DOT5, but that is a headache too....

2002 GS430 just bought three weeks ago.

103,000 at that time. Now just over 104,000 miles or roughly 166,000 km.
