And still strong! I still get 400 miles to a tank when trying!

That's incredible! As a fairly new owner of an 02 GS3 with just 89k, I'm excited to potentially have several years of trouble free driving.

Crazy thing is I only drive around 10k per year. Will take me 11 years to crack 200k. The GS will be at the ripe old age of 23 years by then, but if she is still running strong, I would see no reason to get rid of her.

It is my work car so it has seen almost 100k in 3 years but it rides great and is reliable out the ying yang. I could see keeping this car forever.Timing belt was done at 90k by previous owner then I did water pump and timing belt at 185k. I have replaced some suspension bushing, wheel bearings and ball joints as routine maintenance. Trans fluid 3x. It does have a small leak out the rear main but it runs like a top.

I had some friends come in town and we went to a local car meet in it and my buddies praised how well it drove and looked for the mileage. Im thinking to myself, what... you dont feel the lightly warped rotors in front or the back rim that could have been balanced better. But in all reality after thinking about it, once I get off my butt and fix those issues, it really is a great riding vehicle even being lowered.

Congrats on the recent purchase. It is a great car to own and IMO look better than any of the newer GS's!

Thanks 850! So glad to hear that your GS has been trouble free for you. Makes me feel confident mine is ready to go.

I did the 90k mile service plus timing belt when I bought it with 87k miles. Car also has new tires and brakes. I've heard the suspension will need some work (ball joints) at some point and I'd imagine the shocks/struts will need to be replaced in a couple years as well. My mechanic looked it over and said it was the cleanest, best condition GS he has seen so I feel very confident. Was a one owner car that was barely driven (7k per year) with all service done at the dealer so I'm very confident it will last.

My only gripe was I would have prefered the V8 as the fuel economy difference is minor. But the inline 6 engine has more than enough power and is very smooth and quite.

Yes, I agree with you on the look. I've loved this bodystyle since it came out back when I was finishing up high school. Has sort of a Euro look to do it that is very interesting. Never thought I would actually own one :-)

03 GS3, just shy of 59,000. It won't be driven till summer so I'm sure I won't even get to 60,000 by the end of 14...

Default '00 gs300

I have a 2000 GS300. I bought it in June 2009 with 124k miles on it. Today, it has a little over 180k. I haven't had a single problem with it other than the canister purge valve sensor (P0446). I am about to do the water pump, timing belt thing on it. I expect it to go at least another 100k with proper maintenance.

Currently sitting at 197k, never had a problem besides routine maintenance, interior and exterior seem to hold up very well on these cars

1frontal (major I think)collision before I bought it and another frontal collision while I owned it. The previous owner also had rear collision. Almost 1/2 of my GS now is replaced parts but it's still running with hardly any huge issues. 143.xxx.

Awesome. I'm 110k behind you with my 02 GS3. Glad to hear they run well for a long time.
