1999 GS300 223K. Just did the first 90k service this past weekend. I wouldn't recommend doing that, but I finally had the courage to do it myself after years of reading and watching videos. I was afraid to start the car afterwards, but she fired right up. I have plugs, wires, shocks, and a new driver seat in the garage ready to install. After all this time, I am still in love with my car. I plan to keep her for a long while.

Well, I had both cam seals leaking and the crank seal leaking so both were replaced. My whole waterpump was full of oil as well as other parts. The belt didn't have any rips, cracks or tears as a matter of fact all that oil made the belt look like new, haha. But of course it was changed. I consider myself fortunate. Now I have no leaks with new parts.

Im sure the 6cyl is a Great engine, how ever an 8 cyl doesn't have to work as hard to do the same thing, think of it this way, if you had 2 wagons same size and weight, and 6 horses hooked to 1 and 8 horses hooked to the other, and they had to travel up the same Hill, which group of Horses would work Harder. Inline 6s are great engines, I just prefer the 8s
