Very odd alarm/key issues - car beeps and flashes lights

But I'm not touching the keypad. It beeps every minute or so with the key sitting on the shelf with no human in sight.

The system flashes the lights and clicks the locks.

Very odd. Any ideas?

Maybe the battery on the remote needs to be changed.
