PHML- i would love to build a one-off, but i have talked to a couple of fabricators and that would could cost way to much ($500-$700), and that is what i am trying to do by molding a ugo to the roof (since it mounts there anyways). i don't want to borrow one i want to buy one. i don't think that anyone has done that yet.
Buying an UGO + molding it to the car + paint the roof... will probably run you the same amount....or even more!!!
The only problem that I can see this go wrong is if the back window was to break. It would be a bit tuff to change it when a 3/4 inch piece is in the way. But I can see it turning out pretty nice if done right.
I don't think that would be a problem. If I recall correctly, the UGO mounts on the roof not the window.

The spoiler may mount on the roof but part of the side still run along the window and overlap it. You dont have to mold the side but it still will be tuff to replace.
Sean,
Let me know when you are ready and GL find the right spoiler.
