Default molding a ugo roof spoiler opinions please

has anyone thought about molding the ugo roof spoiler to top of thier car? i just thought of this for two reasons: 1) it would look really clean and 2) so noone could steal it. your thoughts and opinions please.

nobody has anything to say about this? think about it, it not like molding a bumper or sideskirts were you have to worry about cracking (from hitting curbs or what not), not to labor intensive and not alot to paint. shoot i might just mold it and paint the roof black. THOUGHTS AND/OR OPINIONS PLEASE

I wonder if its possible, you know, you can mold a lip because its plastic with plastic, but I dont think plastic to metal would work. It be cool if somebody could pull it off

Sean,

The only problem that I can see this go wrong is if the back window was to break. It would be a bit tuff to change it when a 3/4 inch piece is in the way. But I can see it turning out pretty nice if done right.

It's possible with adhesion promoter and bondo. But it will cost a pretty penny because you'll have to repaint the entire roof and blend everything in. But why do it?

ben,
i din't even think if the back window broke, could you or your dad do this if so i have a question about that and a grill question (he owns a body shop right?) i will pm you later about it.

alexus 300,
the roof is not actually that large of a spce to paint, that is why i said i might do it all black (no color matching).

dont use adhesion promoter and bondo...lol

It can be done with kitty hair...that stuff rocks and it will bond metal to the fiberglass. I see the problem with the roof gutter moulding though...

To be honest, I dont think anyone has a UGO lying around to let you borrow it.

With that being said....just go custom...build a one-off roof spoiler.

PHML- i would love to build a one-off, but i have talked to a couple of fabricators and that would could cost way to much ($500-$700), and that is what i am trying to do by molding a ugo to the roof (since it mounts there anyways). i don't want to borrow one i want to buy one. i don't think that anyone has done that yet.
