The ECT also have a gasket. I don't know if it's useable, but just get one for safety. Also the ECT is located right next to the throttle butterfly on the left side.

ok..i just ordered that part from lexus, should be here tomorrow morning.

regarding the gasket..its like 2$ but non available..they have to order that part from japan..so looks like its a no go on that.

Hopefully you can re-use the gasket again..
Please confirm me on that though..

based on what macd said, this should bring the car out of the closed loop.

If somehow this doesn't get rid of the check engine light, where is the next spot to look?

It will bring your car INTO closed loop is what you want. If you dont have gasket then re-use at your own risk. Do it first then we can talk about it more. ECT is one of the priority sensor.

UPDATE:

Bad news!! P0125 is still on. I replaced the ETC yesturday and the light came back on.

Im going crazy!

The mechanic was showing me his history of cars he had worked on with the same code. 99% of them all had a bad 02 sensor...but mine all are new..not even 3weeks old.

When i looked at the chart on the diagnostics page...it said Fuel, ie: injectors etc..

So what now guys? any input? i've changed what you guys told me too..now what is left?

Only thing i can think of is Fuel filter and 8 new injectors..
Please help.

Keep in mind that even tho u buy a brand new O2 sensor, it can also be bad as well... defective parts... bring it to someone that actually know what their doing and stop wasting your money!! Spend $75-$100 on diagnostics and you'll get your moneys worth then.... if they misdiag ur car then get a refund but most shop go with ALL data or Mitchell's diagnostic tips... as much money u spent on your car... i could of bought a new set of coilovers haha but GL on it tho...

Closed loop has nothing to do with fuel filter and injectors. ECT is the priority, for closed loop. Now did you replaced the sensor or the connector?

Who installed your 02 sensor? Are you sure they installed the sensor in the correct area? I would suggest you find someone with a scanner that can read live data and see why it is not going into closed loop. That would be the easiest way to diagnose is with a scanner. If you are from Orange County, I can help you out.
