Default Trunk Stuck

I've searched before you ask,but my situation is slighty different,

I just got my car back from the bodyshop 2 days ago, boot was fine before hand.
Since i got the car back, the latch inside the car doesn't open the trunk, there is no resistance in it at all, tried pushing down on it and lifting it up,nothing....

My problem is,I only have the valet key,no master key. I'm going to climb in through the back seats tomorrow, but got a sub box in the way

could anyone just get me a picture of what i'm looking for so i can have something to reference against? Are there any fuses linked with the latch? I don't think so,but you never know

Any idea on what it could be,could the heat from having the car baked be anything to do with it? I did have the rear bumper sprayed back up?

Thanks,

ps - new pictures soon, got some JP neck pads and as stated above, sprayed some panels

Is you amp screwed on to your box? If not, just unhook the +/- wires and push it out the way. Good luck!

hope you're skinny enough to get through, there's bracing in between the seat and trunk

Is the brake lock button located between the Gas Door and Trunk Release handles pressed in? If it is not DO NOT push it in until you have a master key to unlock it.

What did you get done at the body shop - would it require them to disconnect or remove the trunk lid or it release linkage?

Yep, it's easy I just hate to ruin that trunk liner/carpet as you will need to push it down from the back... I had to when my trunk latch stopped working.

Take it back to the shop ,or order a wallet key that is not a valet but a complete master with no frequency chip .

Yeah, the wallet key is almost like a credit card. It has a little key that pops out to be inserted into the ignition, and instead of having the key programed, the card that holds the key actually has a programed chip inside and will still let you open everything and start the car, you just have to touch the key blank with the card everytime to start it. Ill talk a picture of mine.

Question: I had a similar problem, my problem was the trunk switch. Although the lock wasn't pushed in, the mechanism had actually stuck, and prevented me from opening it. Just do yourself a favor and put your key in the trunk pop, and unlock it again, just to make sure it's not stuck like me. A switch RARELY fails on these. When i had something fail, it was actually the trunk latch itself, hope this helps.
