Default 03 gs300 or 03 cadillac cts

So as the title says I'm in the process of buying a car and I've had an LS before and that's why I'm back. Does anyone have experience with cadillac cts's. The reliability of a lexus is definately far greater but the looks of a cts are more modern. I want to know you guys opinions on this

My nephew who works at valvoline said a lot of the cadillacs that come in for an oil change has a lot of oil leaks. But if you like around smelling like burnt oil, but look doing it, then it's all good

The cadillac looks more modern? Not in my book. When I was in the market for a car, the cadillac was in mind, but where Im from, they are dubbed and ghettoed out, so a big no no. Plus I noticed they dont hold their value too good.

Agreed I'm not a big fan of american luxury cars to me its kinda like being a homerun king in the farm leagues no one notices and as far as looks are concerned they look like lego's on wheels and to much plastic going on inside.

Those year Cadillac CTSs are not that great in terms of reliability, interior fit + finish, and quality build.

I was considering both cars as well. I went with a GS300.

No experience with that Cadillac but I drove (and still drive as a beater) a 95 Deville for over 4 years and the Lexus is a much better car IMHO. Just the problems I've had with that car and the inferior build quality, fit and finish, and materials made me miss the ES300 I had before it, and lead me back to a GS.

BTW, the Caddy leaks quite a bit of oil too!

American cars r garbage!! Stick with the GS, it's alot better car and you'll have half the problems in the long run. Besides, the fact that they don't hold there value at all. That's my take on it. I've had my share of Caddy's.

Try http://www.edmunds.com/cadillac/cts/...merreview.html
for reviews on the Caddy & Lexus for non-biased opinions. If you were to go on the Caddy forums, they will tell you not to buy the Lexus. Drive both cars, check out insurance rates, parts/labor, etc. then make the decision of which best suits you & the pockets.
