Default Electrical Issues... Help me please.

At times when I either put the car in drive or go to lock the car.... the driver side door lock (the toggle next to the interior door pull) does not click to lock/close. This prevents me from locking the car with the key fob. This all started when I noticed that the info stored in the Navi... ie, maintenance info, point of interest, cities...etc. is cleared. What sort of electrical issue is causing this? Please... I need the help of all you electrical gurus out there.

Thanks

First Let me say welcome to CL!!! From what you are saying it sounds like a intermittently or weak door lock actuator thats causing your problem. You will need to replace the DS front actuator to correct this issue. I think someone did a DIY on replacing actuators if you feel like tackling it yourself. Hope this helps!!!

I just started having this problem intermittently too, it's my driver's side actuator going, there is a great DIY in the DIY Section

Welcome, it sounds to me like your actuator is going bad as well, it's a common problem on these cars so there is quite a bit of discussion on this topic if you search.

The Nav being cleared is odd, I'd be surprised if it had anything to do with the door locks but what do I know! Has that happened only once or repeatedly?
