![Question](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Ok so ive owned nothing but 240's, so i know the offsets of those cars like the back of my hand (low Offsets). i just bought a GS400 and want to by rims for it...im looking at Stern st8's and the specs are 20x9.5 +25 all around. wondering if that would fit on a semi-slammed GS.
did research and saw that GS being RWD still require a high offset, just wondering if they would fit before i purchase them. i believe they also sell them in +35.
OH and i love camber, so i will be cambering them in...
Thanks...

I used to own a JDM S13 back in the day. Technically the "recommended" offsets for that is actually 35-45mm but that's recommended by places that don't wanna take any liability, which dont know the definition on the wheel flush or fender rolling. We all know you can go way lower than that depending how far your willing to do some body mods.
19x9.5 on a GS with +25 wont be an issue but you will need to stretch a but and roll your fenders. Most of the guys on the boards here run pretty conservative offsets because A) cheaper monoblock wheels only come higher offsets, and B) They do not want to roll fenders. I'm planning on doing 9.5" +20 front and 10.5" +15 rear. This is a nice flush setup without going too crazy. All can be done with the proper modifications![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Here is a better example for you RIMTUCK.com 2GS Gallery

"overloading" the tyre also depends on the loads you carry and the pressures you run. if you stretch, just make sure you run at least 40psi and monitor it regularly. the fact is also that the GS has quite a high factory load rating on its tyres because its designed as a luxury 4 door with people nad luggage etc. most of us here are 1 maybe 2 people in it 90% of the time and next to no luggage, so the tyres arent under max strain often if ever....
with your guards if you go a 9.5 +25 all round the front will be a bit tight, might need to roll a bit or shave as it is neater/cleaner, and rear you should be almost fine with some stretch otherwise a bit of roll or shave, pretty minor though. i have 10" +24 rear, guards rolled about 1/2 flat, and run -2.1 camber and clears fine. could shave or roll some mroe, or run a couple degrees more camber and fit like 10-15mm more offset i reckon :P

Sorry to thread jack, but is there any way to know about how a pair of wheels will fit without posting a new thread for each individual case? For example I am looking at putting 20's (8.5 front +37, 9.5 rear +42) on my car... but have no idea what it will cost me (fender roll, alignment, camber?)
