Front Plate drama from hell

That's a very true statement but I don't think he is unaware of that, hence the two tickets in his hand. He is looking for help with ideas to mount the plate. if you don't have any don't post. Common sense right? Now if he had been whining about the tickets that would be different but unless I missed something I don't think he was.
OP -
I agree with others about some simple L brackets screwed under the bumper. No visible holes. I have apic somewhere of one done this way - i will hunt it down.
Edit: Passnu already posted the link to the same thread I had saved above.

Well, that's why I say drill it, even if that means you have to take off the front bumper, because using 3M double sided tape iirc is not a legal, secure way of mounting a license plate... key word, secure, cop can still give you a ticket if they found out that you used double sided tape...

some people double side tape but i dont think that is necessarily safe because it may fall off if not properly adhered.
what i would do is go to Lowe's or Home Depot or some hardware store.. buy 2 L brackets for walls or doors or whatever and drill two holes in your bumper near the lower grill.. get some self tapping screws and screw the L brackets in and then bolt the license plate onto the L brackets

Thats what I did. Works great. You can get these L shape brackets at any hardware store. You can just screw in the bolts with your hand. Does not need a power drill to do it. Let me find some pics for you.

oh man... i did that and found out that i couldnt fit a drill to make holes on my aftermarket bumper so my boy squeezed it snug in between the little grills/vents and 3M double sided tape the bottom...
one day i was getting out of a steep driveway, my bumper flexed and that sucker fell off and i ended up driving over the L bracket and it punctured my tire... LOL.. not fun!

i would do the ziptie in ur case and if the cops are really bothering you about it tell them they have better things they can be doing. i haven't had a front plate on since december and it was mentioned during a pullover with 2 cop cars when they looked around but they never gave a warning or ticket and haven't been pulled over since, i also drive around with 5% tint fronts and rears and still rarely get pulled over..i think once since october and got a warning, the second was more of a check to see if i had drugs or drank which neither was the case n i sed i have warning on my tint but i don't do anything illegal n he let me go haha.
