Default Has this happened to you?

my car battery died out. Before It died, i tried to start the car and the lights flickered. I then had it jumped, and now the gas gauge doesn't seem to work. the "fill light" comes on and the needle is stuck below empty. I know that the gas is full, because I just filled it at the station right before I got a "jump start"

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to reset the computer, but that seemed to have failed. is there a fuse that might be busted?

aloha

hey HI98GS i think i know how to solve this problem i had the same problem before with the needle and all but not the battery part... but what i had to do was take out the gauge cluster and turn it upside down in order to losen up the needle bcuz i think what happened was that the needle sorta got stuck.. so go try that and see if that solves your problem

thanks for the replies. I changed out the battery, and the guage seems to work fine now. I guess I just needed to disconnect the battery instead of just pulling the fuse for the ecu.

thanks again
