CLeaning Engine with Tire Foam?
Can this damage anything? I detailed the engine last weekend then drove the car to work on monday and today it wouldn't turn over? No lights at all. I just got it started with a battery charger. I've had a dead car before due to lack of driving a few weeks ago but i just drove the car on Monday and everything was fine.
THis maybe dumb but would the foam have anything to do with startup or is it just the battery going dead due to just sitting there?
Thanks
Tony

Well i just tried to start the car up again after my wash and wax and all i got was clicking when i turned the key.. The battery is only 3 years old. I thought a battery lasted longer than that? My ES300 battery lasted like 8 years
Well i really hope thats the issue. I'm thinking of taking the car to Autozone to do a test. I don't want to spend any unnecessary money...
Thanks

THe car started right up after being on the charger for about 10-15min. When i tried to start it the first time (previous post) i got dash lights and then they went dead. I'm really hoping its the battery. The car has been sitting on and off for 3 years now.. I just replaced the original battery 3 years ago with this battery in it right now.
I only drive the car once or twice a week if that. So I'm thinking its not good to let the car sit all the time...
I may just buy a battery tonight and go from thier..
Thanks

Sounds like the battery to me, especially if it's been sitting on and off for three years. Probably needs a good charge. take her out and leave it for a few hours on your charger or take it to Autozone for a free charge that'll take about an hour, maximum. Clicking sound is from the battery not having enough power to drive the starter and any other accessory during start up.

Update...
Just got home with a new battery installed. Lucky for me my mechanic lives about 10min away and he brought home a battery for me.
Before i left to go there i had the battery on the charger for about 2.5 hours and i go to start it up and nothing.. I had to use my ES to jump the GS and even then it barely turned over. IT was a expensive battery but well worth it..
Hope this cures it..
Thanks
