Did you check the rear bulbs with the brake pedal depressed?

I have the same issue. I have yet to figure out what it is.

If I start the car and turn the headlights on, nothing happens. As soon as I start to shift it into drive the indicator comes on. It happens right as I reach reverse. I checked the reverse lights and the correct bulbs are in there and they work just fine...

Is there a separate indicator for the front lights? If not, then check those (i.e. running lights or the side markers).

There isn't a second indicator for the front, but my front lights are working as well, me and Curry are having the exact same problem....

u think they are, i promise one is out...i had this same problem. mine looked all on but one of my side lights on the rears was burnt out and one was faulty and sometimes it lit up and sometimes it didnt...let me see if i can recall from memory since i did all leds on my 2001= tails have 2 dual stop/brake lights, one turn signal, one reverse per housing and insides one light per housing and 3rd brake light has 5 bulbs

total of 15 bulbs i think is what i remember

instead of putting it in reverse. try leaving lights off and just stepping on brakes...that will tell u if its a brake light (and not a running light) and if not should be easy to process of elimination it to the reverse light or running light

Worst case scenario just take off the tail light housings and check the bulbs themselves.

i had a similar issue recently. if the light out indicator comes on only after you step on the brake than one of your brake lights must be out.

if you bought aftermarket LEDtaillights, the power it takes is to weak so the car thinks the bulb is blow. you cna buy resisters and connected it with the LED.

check your third brake light again. it may look like it is working, but there are multiple bulbs in there. my dash light is on too and it took me three weeks to figure out it was just one tiny bulb out in the third brake light housing. i haven't changed it yet. been kinda lazy

Your signature indicates you have replaced some of your bulbs; probably with LEDs. LEDs will set off the dash indicator even if they are all working.

Just pull the indicator light out of the dash. Takes 10 minutes. How-To is posted here on CL.
