007 - They make a kit for the first Gen GS also...I just uploaded a pict to the gallery...here's the pictures...

The mesh came with the kit, the foglights are extra...but you can use any 3.75" to 4" foglight will work ok...I recommend the FET Catz MSC's...the Classy ones sit behind the kit, I prefer to have the lights sit inside the opening (which is what the MSC's will do)

Just talk to Steve Ganz...just wait until he's back...the other guys there have NO INFO on this kit. The kit is $2600 (for the JZS16x body style)...it's cheaper for the JZS14x but not by much...so you might want to consider that too...at that price, it's usually out of most people's price range for a kit....

I have some other photos of the kit ...I'll try to get them scanned soon...

Default Price for the MKII GS

ap0718,

The price is $2600 as stated in Manaray's previous post. Our 98+ GS's are also referred to as the JZS16 whereas the first gen GS300 is known as the JZS14. $2600 is very reasonable for such a kit. Manaray, does that price include the rear roof spoiler that is shown on the white GS?

Looks like the spoiler on the White GS is a factory spoiler. Manaray, when you got the kit, did you experience any problems with it not fitting right? Was there any modification that had to be done with the kit to make it fit properly? I know you got the back two vents filled in, but any other extras you had to do???

ap,

Japanese front bumper is shorter than U.S. front bumper so you will need to modify the front bumper and cut some styro off your GS.

Like RacingAristo said, the bumpers are shorter than "American" bumpers so on the back bumper, the foam needs to be removed. On the front, you'll not only have to remove the front foam, you'll also have to cut approx. 4" off each end of the front bumper rail. Not a big deal because the part that sets off the airbags is still intact (so your airbags will still go off if you get into a front end accident...)

Other than that, my body shop said the fit was great. Just make sure a COMPETENT body shop does the work...hopefully one that has worked on JDM kits and import cars...

Harrier - No, the price does NOT include the rear window spoiler. But I don't think it's much for that part and you can honestly get any brand you like for that part...they'll all look ok...

Personally, I like the way the UGO one looks (and they have a inexpensive one in fiberglass...or you can pop for the CF one like I did)...

Oh, the price INCLUDES the foglights and mesh material (which is like Stainless Steel or something with round holes cut out...it's not like "chickwire"

You can get the kit WITHOUT their foglight and get something like the FET Catz MSC (which is what I would do instead)....I just got the OG foglights because I didn't know what kind of lights it used and I didn't want to be @ssed out...but since I was the "guinea pig" for this kit, I can give you guys some better recommendations...

Also, when you have the foglights installed (any brand!), I would have the shop CUT the connectors off the factory foglights and then have them SOLDER it to the connectors so that it'll plug right in...I don NOT recommend "vampire clips"...they suck for the most part (for some applications, they work ok)....
