It reads "SMC 11.82.380 : Lights, Turn Signal, Defective"
I have the LED tail lights with the clear lens. When I bought the damn things I just went to schucks and got a bulb.
I guess they can be anywhere from RED to AMBER...
$124 later and a "TRAFFIC" violation to up my insurance.

donno how close the rules are here up in BC compared to WA, but my understanding is, you can have clear rear turn signals, but they must produce red or amber light. thus meaning u can have it clear, but the bulb inside must be amber or red.
the fronts can be either amber or clear light.
visible from the rear or the side must be a 3in length reflector that is red.
visible from the front side must be a 3in length reflector that is amber.
if ur in taiwan, u can have rainbow lights and they dont care =P

If you got amber or red it sounds like you have a case - take it to court. Lots of cars have OE clear turn signals with amber or red turn signals. just curious, are your tail lights marked "DOT Approved" ?

I wasn't thinking, and it was my fault for not knowing.
I replaced my taillights with the AMBER LENS/CLEAR BULB combo with the CLEAR LENS taillights.. and just used the same bulbs. Honestly.. had I known or thought about it I would have gotten the amber or red ones.. that doesnt matter to me.
I'm going to schucks after work to get the amber bulbs.
I'd prefer to get a red bulb but schucks doesnt have it.
I think the bulb number is "7440" but I can't seem to find any red ones online.
