Hello I have a 99 GS400 and I have started to here clicking and churping sounds comming from the dash area on the driver's side. the noises are present with the air off and the car sitting still, should I be worried?

I have this too..I'm lead to believe these are your a/c stepper motors. I would not hazard a guess as to how to fix it, but I wish I knew??

i have the same problem. i thought it was my aftermarket nav. it only comes on once in a while when the weather is hot

The servos are making noise...

when was the last time you changed your cabin air filter? I had the same issue with my 2k GS 3 haven't heard it since i changed it and it was really filthy.

I have the same issue.....I have a factory navi. So you think its the air filter?

i don't have factory navi but the noise was like there was a crab crawling around in there it wasn't all the time just sometimes specially after getting off the fwy I haven't heard it today since i changed the cabin air filter.

they are called servo motors, NOT stepper motors

yup....they are on there way out

its not a cabin air filter....its the a/c servo's

i have nav.....its not a filter.

best described as a computer hard drive clicking/whirring

your welcome. i think we all hate that noise....its a common prob on the gs like the door actuators are
