For 19" wheels is this the "normal" low-profile setup combination?

Front 245/35
Rear 275/30


The wheels and tires on not on the car yet but I notice the difference in overall hieght right away between the fronts and the rears... Maybe I should have went with the 275/35's in the rear.

What do you guys think?

go with a 225/35/20 in the front if the offset is a little lower

 

He's going to get a funny look from the tire guys if he buys a 20" tire for his 19" rims, though, don't you think?

I agree on the sizing, though. A 225/35 might be a better option.

If you're offsets leave a little space, a 285/30 will match up a little better with a 245/35. Plus it'll give you a little extra traction. I'm running this combo on 20x8.5 and 20x9.5. The rear tires are just a tiny bit wide for the wheel (Falken 452's) but they match up with the look of the front tires much better than the 275/30's I had on before.

 

ha ha. Thanks guys. The problem is I have the tires already. This combo was recommended to me from my shop where I got my wheels/tires.

The offsets are +37 for front and +40 for rear. I am guessing the fronts would be fine but the rears I may need a 10mm spacer to make them more flush with the fender WITHOUT having to do fender mods. This is what I am trying to achieve, the best look for flushness (with the help of spacers) without having to do any fender mods.

 

There should be about .25" difference in overall height for the tires.

 

If it makes you feel any better, I don't think anybody else would really notice the differance between the sidewalls once they're on the car. There's so much more to look at then, it would be much less noticeable.

 

thinner in the back you wont really notice since the guard goes down lower at the rear anyway if you know what i mean...

my last car i had to get 35 series front 40 rear and it was easily noticeable since the arch is already bigger up front on most cars.

but yeah you should be fine when on the vehicle.

that said, i went 235/35 & 245/35 cause i didnt want any less than 35 sidewalls for daily driving

 

i just went through this same dilema. i have 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear with roughly the same offsets. i had the 255/35 and 275/30. did not like the way they looked also. i kept the fronts and got a 275/35 rear and LOVE the way it looks now. i could use a 10mm spacer though. i am lowered on tanabe df's. but i do have my front and rear fenders rolled though. the set up you are talking about (245 & 275) are considered the fat tire set up. good luck with what ever you do but if all you need is a little fender mod DO it
and remember the more traction (tire) the better

 

I have 19x9 in front with i think +35 offset and 19x9.5 rear with +38 offset and my tire shop recommended to me 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear, I'll be getting them mounted and balanced next week so i'll take pics to post up. I had 285/35/19 in the rear before which are the tires that came with the rims when i bought them and the tires looked like drag radials and rubbed like CRAZY !!

 

wat were ur offsets on ur rims?
i'm trying to buy new tires and was wondering wat size i want to get.

 

I'm pretty sure they're +44 front and rear, pretty conservative (ie. sunken by today's fitment standards), they're L-Sportline's that were designed for Lexus's without any fender mods. I've got space to easily run 10 mm spacer f and r with minor fender mods, I'll probably do that next spring.
