hard to find amsoil here for a decent price
i have 6 quarters of royal purple 5W20 but dont want to use that in the summer
im using penzoil platinum 5W30 now, should be better than the new crappy mobil 1 "synthetic" 5W30

Mobil 1 has reformulated their motor oil, tranny oil, & now gear oil with improved friction modifiers. You will notice quieter operation with the new stuff. I just changed the rear diff & transfer case oil on my rav4 to Mobil 1
75w90 LS. Loving it so far as the pick up has improved.. FYI... This is a new gear oil by Mobil that is compatible with vehicles equipped with limited slip diffs & open diffs.. LSD guys, you have another choice in gear oil..

Mobile 1 5w30 and a Napa Gold Filter which is made by Wix. Wix makes one of the best filters available.
I go 5k between changes.
Why Mobile 1? My Escort has 210,000 on it with no blowby or any sort of problems. I attribute it running as well and as long as it has to the oil. My dad has used it in all of his vehicles and he has a delivery Minivan with over 350,000 on it that has had mobile 1 in it since 3,000 miles.
