The alarm's seems to keep going of randomly on my car lately,i've noticed it happen when it's been windy, but now it's starting to do so in the middle of the night where there's no wind/rain at all?
Could a cat or something moving alongside/under it set the alarm off?
Wake up at 3am running like a fool trying to get outside to see if the car's ok is getting a bit tiring now.
Anyway to get the alarm less "sensitive" ?

yeah... the factory alarm goes off only when you try to open the door.... have it checked... or maybe you have an after market alarm which has a shock sensor... in that case, have it checked also

Are the lights set to come on with the doors? I don't have mine on, so I don't imagine it would set it off. If they do come on, then the security system is set for intrusion only, meaning an impact.
I have an aftermarket (Autopage) system, and it's fully equipped with all the bells and whistles.
To answer your question - there is no way to set the security system to be more sensitive that I am aware of. It's mostly for theft deterrence, given that it's only set for full intrusion and to stop people from starting it without the chipped key(s).
I'd definitely recommend a full alarm if you're concerned about it. Much more flexible, and much more peace of mind.

Trust me - get an aftermarket system installed by a professional.
